Meryl Streep Print New Records

Again expertise Meryl Streep in acting recognition, this veteran actress got an Oscar nomination in the category Best Actress for her role in JULIE & JULIA. And this nomination was the 16th time, a new record in the acquisition of Academy Award nominations.

Obtaining nominations now reached beyond the two senior Streep, who previously was at record high levels, ie, Katharine Hepburn and Jack Nicholson (each 12 nominations). Although Hepburn winning with a four-trophy and Nicholson two Best Actor trophy and a best-supporting. Streep was just getting a trophy and a Best Actress Best Supporting trophy.

While Streep beat Hepburn’s record, he also followed this predecessor. Hepburn was nominated for the 10th time for role in GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER in the event an Oscar in 1967, (more…)
